TOPEX present at ATC Global, 17-19 March 2009, Amsterdam
For the fifth consecutive year TOPEX exhibited between 17th and 19th of March at the premier event for Air Traffic Management professionals and commonly known as the "global meeting place" for the ATM/AIS community, ATC Global Amsterdam, where its IP-VCS solution for ATC Communications were presented.
ATC Global is a platform for suppliers of Air Traffic Control and Management products and services and for TOPEX, exhibiting at this event, was a good opportunity to be in contact one more time with ATC business environment in order to show its developments in the IP VCS area.
TOPEX attention at this fair was focusing on the IP VCS system, a full-IP implementation of a multi-service transport network for ATC. TOPEX IP-VCS is a redundant digital system with flexible and scalable architecture to allow its configuration for a wide range of applications in the ATC/ATM field.
TOPEX successfully implemented IP-VCS systems in Romania for military and aeronautically authorities. The company developed complete signaling stacks that comply with standards and drafts of International Regulation bodies (SIP, R2S, RTP, MFC-R2, Euro-ISDN, etc.). One key aspect with TOPEX system is geographical redundancy. The redundant systems can be separated geographically so that if a server in one site fails the second server in a distant location will become active. Geographical redundancy makes TOPEX IP-VCS resistant both to hardware and IP-link failures.
TOPEX participation at ATC Global consisted also in a presentation in the Seminar Programme for IP Communications. "IP Technology Implementation for Air Traffic Management System" was the title of the presentation that was sustained by Radu Balaci, Business Development Manager at TOPEX on 18th of March. The presentation described the advantages of the VoIP introduction in ATM such as: technical benefits, cost reduction, flexibility and the way to optimize cost of communication in ATM using IP solutions, at high quality standards.
"Exhibiting at ATC Global 2009 for the fifth consecutive year placed us among the leading-edge companies and key-decision makers driving the ATC/ATM industry today.", said Radu Balaci, Business Development Manager at TOPEX. "ATC Global gave our company and its products a great exposure in front of ATC professionals and offered us a great opportunity to getting into contact with potential customers.", added Radu Balaci.
