TOPEX VoiBridge obtains Federal Communications Commission verification certificate

TOPEX, a European telecom equipment manufacturer and NGN solution provider, confirms that its VoIP GSM Gateway, TOPEX VoiBridge, complies with Federal Communications Commission mark.

The product has been tested in accordance with Industry Canada ICES-003, issue 4, for US market and it has been found to comply with this mark for their excellence in technological advancement and application refinement.

All telecommunication products sold in the United States are required by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to obtain an FCC mark showing that the product complies with the standard of radio frequency emissions (the effect on other electronic devices of energy radiated from the product). The Federal Code of Regulation (CFR) FCC Part 15 is a common testing standard for most electronic equipment. FCC Part 15 covers as well the technical specifications, administrative requirements and other conditions relating to the marketing of FCC Part 15 devices. Verification is a process for FCC Part 15 compliance and it is a procedure where the manufacturer makes measurements or takes the necessary steps to insure that the equipment complies with the appropriate technical standards.

According to FCC Part 15 Subpart B mark, TOPEX VoiBridge is a product marketed for commercial or industrial use, that does not deliberately generate radio frequencies emissions.

TOPEX VoiBridge is a GSM/UMTS small capacity gateway with VoIP or PRI interfaces. Its main functionality is to interconnect VoIP or PSTN networks with mobile networks.

With this product you make significant savings on calls from IP or PSTN to cellular networks and backwards. The equipment supports up to 4 GSM/UMTS channels to IP and works with any IP PBX or Softswitch, based on SIP and H323 protocols. TOPEX VoiBridge includes also Mobility Extension features and it is a perfect convergence solution for clients with IP PBX infrastructure.
