TOPEX multiSwitch IP Centrex solution

The term of IP Centrex denotes a set of specialized business solutions (primarily, but not exclusively, for voice service) where the equipment providing the call control and service logic functions is owned and operated by the service provider and hence is located at the service provider's premises.

TOPEX promotes the IP Centrex solution through the TOPEX multiSwitch carrier grade Class 5 Softswitch equipment. The solution includes hardware infrastructure represented by voice switching equipments, media and management platforms and IP Centrex applications - advanced telephony features.

The service provider will host centrally the multiSwitch equipment and will provide advanced telephony services to the customers. IP Centrex solution extends the coverage of the service provider’s network within the customer premises, replacing existing PBXs.

The IP Centrex solution key features:

• The centralized control of a range of IP telephone sets and CPE media gateways that directly connect to the enterprise LAN, thus removing the need for a PBX at the enterprise premises
• An extensive list of private telephony features including call forward, 3-party call control, group services, line supervision, conference
• An optional centralized Voice Mail server for all subscribers
• The integration of software tools on the end-user’s PC to enhance employee productivity: enterprise directory access, Softphone, Self-Care Web Portal, Unified Messaging
• Multi-level administration tools to allow enterprise self-administration

TOPEX multiSwitch is the key element of the TOPEX Next Generation Networks architecture. It is a carrier-grade Softswitch solution that provides call-control, multiple services and multiple types of signaling. It features complete Class4 (Trunk Exchange) and Class5 (Local Exchange) telecom services over an IP-based infrastructure.
