Case study: How to upgrade a TDM based infrastructure to Voice over IP

Present scenario of the customer

The present infrastructure of the customer is built on a TDM exchange with maximum capacity of 3500 subscribers and 3 linksets.

Actually the customer almost reached the maximum capacity achieving 3460 subscribers and 3 linksets. The interconnection between TDM Exchange and the PSTN network is made through 5-7 E1 interfaces (3 SS7 linksets).

TOPEX and SS Telecoms present at Nashua Mobile Annual Conference in South Africa

Between 19th and 23rd of November, in Sun City, TOPEX and its South African joint-venture partner, SS Telecoms joined the strategic partner conference of Nashua Mobile.

Nashua Mobile is one of South Africa's largest, independent cellular solutions providers and one of the few providers to offer customers the choice of all three networks (Vodacom, MTN and Cell C). Iridiacom, the Hertfordshire based UK distributor has announced a partnership agreement with TOPEX from Romania. Iridiacom has been appointed as a Distributor for the TOPEX range of GSM, 3G and VoIP Gateways in the UK.
