New services with TOPEX-AXIGEN E-mail and voice
TOPEX has recently entered into a new partnership, with AXIGEN, the professional messaging solutions vendor, accordingly to which the two companies launched a common integrated communication solution, TOPEX-AXIGEN E-mail and voice.
TOPEX-AXIGEN E-mail and voice is an IP telephone switch and a mail server at the same time, covering voice and messaging traffic through the effective usage of the same IT infrastructure and hardware resources.
This common solution offers new services of Unified Messaging addressing to both ITSP and Corporate and it is currently available worldwide.
Unified Messaging represents the integration of different means of communication so that the users can send or receive voice, fax and e-mail messages from one interface that can be a phone, PC or Internet-enabled PC.
TOPEX-AXIGEN E-mail and voice is a Linux-based solution and its capacity starts from a few tens of accounts and can get to hundreds of thousands of users of the system.
TOPEX-AXIGEN E-mail and voice offers services, such as:
Voicemail2Email
-
All users of the system have phone numbers/interiors, voice mail and email on the same account.
-
Voice messages sent to the users are saved in E-mail and voice.
-
The subscriber/user can listen the voice messages by using the IP phone or he can receive them in the email account by activating the voicemail2mail service.
-
The folders sent in the email contain the voice message received as attachment.
Fax2Email
-
The subscribers of the E-mail and voice system can have dedicated numbers for Fax services.
-
When an E-mail and voice subscriber receives a fax, the system automatically converts it from T.38 into PDF.
-
The user subscribed to Fax2Email service receives the fax in his own email account as a PDF attachment having in Subject the phone number from where the fax was sent.
-
The solution offers the advantage of mobility, the subscriber can thus receive fax even when he is not in the company.
Email2Fax -
The E-mail and voice system subscribers can send faxes directly from their email account.
-
The user scans the fax he wants to send in PDF format and sends it as an email from his account to a predefined email account from the E-mail and voice system (e.g.fax@nume_companie.com)
-
The subject of the email will contain the phone number where the fax will be sent.
-
The Email2Fax application of E-mail and voice interrogates frequently the email account fax@nume_companie.comand if there are faxes found it sends them to the requested PSTN addresses
Email2SMS -
The Email2SMS application reads certain email accounts, verifies if there are messages with certain properties and sends them on SMS to the subscribers/users who subscribe to this service.
-
It is useful in administrating the network -when certain alert messages come by email from different equipment, the E-mail and voice can send these messages through SMS to the network administrator.
-
It can become a tool for the company to send internal messages when this feature is used together with the SMS2Group application.
Missed-calls notifications by email -
Following the missed calls on VoIP phones or on ATA telephony adaptors can be difficult or impossible but E-mail and voice can send to the user information about the missed calls in email messages.
-
The messages sent by E-mail and voice can be list-type or sent after each missed call, email by email.
-
The missed calls list can be sent by SMS to the E-mail and voice user, with the Email2Sms application.
Future development focuses on providing new features such as: outlook integration, integration of videoconference services, video-messaging capabilities, Text-to-Speech, Speech-to-Text, voice recognition.
Unified Messaging make the enterprise communication tools accessible and transparent.
Users who would most benefit from these services include highly mobile workers, those with frequent customer interaction and users who need to collaborate with internal or external teams. |
