TOPEX Eones equipment supports Lucent-5ESS in its interoperability test with Spanish operator ONO

TOPEX, a leading telecom equipment manufacturer and NGN solution provider confirms that its customer Alea, a service provider based in Spain is using TOPEX Eones equipment for SS7 interconnection with Spanish operator ONO. TOPEX signaling gateway, Eones has provided full interoperability with Lucent-5SS used by ONO system.

The TOPEX Eones supports and inter-works directly between SS7, SIP and H.323. CAS, R2 providing seamless interconnect of disparate networks running different types and versions of VoIP and PSTN protocols.

With TOPEX signaling gateway solution the operators having SS7 interconnect open up the PSTN network to VoIP services. Acting also like a media gateway providing TDM to VoIP media conversion TOPEX Eones completes TOPEX NGN architecture together with TOPEX multiswitch, Class 4 and Class 5 softswitch solution.
